Atef Tawfik was previously the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of National Food Company, a leading producer of jams, juices, and pasta products.

Mr. Atef Tawfik was responsible for expanding NFC’s export markets to include Japan, USA, and Europe in the wake of the fall of the Soviet Union. NFC had predominantly served the Soviet market which represented a concentration risk and challenge which had to be addressed brusquely.

During his tenure as CEO, Mr. Tawfik initiated the radical re-branding, formula enhancement and modification, and aggressive marketing strategies guaranteeing that all product qualifications met new target markets’ requirements delivering impressive results.Atef is also a distinguished entrepreneur, having started one of Egypt’s leading chilled meat suppliers, Nile Union Meat Co., as well as Q Services International, a rising star in print and copy management.

Atef holds a B.A. in Banking Management from Sadat Academy for Management Science and an MBA degree from Maastricht University. He is also a graduate of the Senior Executive Program at Harvard Business School. Atef sits on the Board of Egyptian Resorts Company and Kato Investment.
